Stephen I. Pleatman, M.D

Dr. Pleatman grew up in Cincinnati and attended the University of California, Berkeley for his undergraduate education. He attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and did his residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He joined Suburban Pediatrics in 1983.

Dr. Pleatman lives in Sycamore Township with his wife Crysta. Together they have seven children ranging in age from five to twenty-five. In addition to helping take care of the kids and check lots of homework, he has an interest in many areas of mathematics and physics. He is also an avid tennis player year round. Dr. Pleatman has spent many years teaching pediatrics to the residents at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Over the past twelve years, he has been part of the community continuity experience in which a resident spends three years at the practice for one-half day per week. Dr. Pleatman has been very involved with the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Physician Hospital Organization. He has been intimately involved with several quality improvement initiatives as part of this organization, especially asthma. The program has garnered acclaim from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics.
