Newborn Check-ups
Caring for your newborn is a real partnership, and our office takes that responsibility very seriously. Call as soon as your baby is born so we can schedule a first visit within 2-3 days of discharge. At that time we will do a complete exam, review hospital records and discuss feeding, immunizations and any issues of concern. We will also review the checkup schedule and offer some guidance on the care of your newborn. Our doctors and nurses are always available to talk to new moms and dads. Try to restrict your calls to office hours, but don’t be afraid to call with what might seem to you to be “silly” questions. That’s why we’re here.
